William grew up on a mixed farm of cattle, sheep, arable, and laying hens on the shooting estate of Ledsham and Ledston in Yorkshire.
In 2014 he graduated from the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Science in Edinburgh and began working in New Zealand as a Farm Animal Vet.
After returning to the UK and working for a short time as a farm vet. In 2017 William became a full-time poultry vet. Initially working as Lead Vet for PHS Retford with a variety of avian species, before he moved to Sutton Bonington in 2018 and became Lead Gamebird Vet.
In 2019 PHS opened PHS Shrewsbury with William as Lead Vet.
Having worked with a variety of poultry species, William helps teach students and vets about different avian species via lectures and roadshows.
In his spare time William enjoys hiking and reading.
